We were given another assignment where we are supposed to choose our subject for the pictures we take. I chose the topic of macros, close ups onto small objects. I decided to take pictures of the flowers my mother had recently planted in the front yard in the morning so I can get pictures of the flowers with dew on them. Best PhotoTechnical data: ISO 200 1/160 Shutter Speed F6.3 Zero Editing has been done. Next best 5I had learned that many small objects carry tons of details the closer you get with a camera. While taking these pictures I had to get in very close, some of the pictures were taken while I was laying on the ground or crouched down and placing the camera right next to what I'm taking a picture of. I also used the sunlight to my advantage in some of the pictures since it was morning and the sun was there.

The assignment was made to have us learn how to use some tools in Photoshop. We had to "retouch" a car and make it similar to a demo picture of the same car. Before:After 1:After 2:Since I've never used Photoshop properly this has been a learning experience. Using tools like the stamp tool were new and confusing at first, but I got used to it over time.
The assignment requires the usage of a camera to take pictures of a certain topic, such as animals or a event. This time I chose to take pictures of my dog at home for the animal subject. Best PhotoISO 200 Aperture: F5.6 Shutter Speed: 1/200. Zero editing has been done to this photo. Next Five Best PhotosI learned multiple different methods of gaining a proper view of taking pictures of moving subjects that refuse to stand still, such as bribing them with food, but other than that I had to think about what angle made the picture better and I also used many different point of views to see if I should have lots of details of my dog's face or to make it not very detailed. While I was taking pictures I also tried to get a shallow depth of field and I think that worked out pretty well.
We were assigned to take a portrait of someone and then to edit that image on Photoshop. In Photoshop we needed to turn on the image's threshold to make it black and white, crop it and etc. Then we needed to copy the images by saving it to the computer's clipboard and then created a new file. After doing so we just change the size of the new image and paste the image we had just made in each of the corner. We then colored each of the copies. Original PhotoPopart Photo #1Popart Photo #2I learned many different things, such as the different types of tools we needed to use in Photoshop. I never really used Photoshop properly before so reading the website had taught me many different things about Photoshop.
Today in class we learned about the assignments that we need to finish every week. The assignment requires us to take multiple pictures of different subjects and choose between the best photo between them and post them on our blog. I plan on taking pictures of my dog since it seems to be an easier start and that I usually always have time to take pictures of my dog. Here are a few pictures that inspires me because they resemble my dog a bit since my dog's a German Shepard:
We students were given a assignment that requires us to take photos that directly have to do with photo compositions such as: Rule of Thirds, Pattern, Symmetry, Texture, Depth of Field, Lines, Framing Perspective, Space, Balance, and Color. Rule of Thirds with QuinnThis is a photo of a fellow photographer named Quinn Brophy, I had asked for him to do an interesting pose and he decided that this was good. I then focused on the top Rule of Thirds line with his eyes and made sure his head was towards the right since he was looking left. The Brick's PatternI was at home and during a walk with my dog I had my camera with me for any ideas for pictures. I then noticed that the bricks near my house were in pattern and then there was sudden break of this pattern with the bricks as seen there. A Symmetric HomeI was outside with my dog coming up with pictures for this assignment and I had noticed that the exterior of my house was very symmetric. I tried to line the house up in the middle and then took a picture. Texture WallWhile walking around the school I noticed that a the walls near the stairs looked great with the graffiti that said, "Lov boyz". In the lighting it also shown plenty of texture within the walls so I took this picture. The Depth of Field WallI also took a photo of the wall while looking directly up and having the focus be on the wall and the ceiling with a low depth of field and the wall a large depth of field. Lines With My MotherI happened to notice that the stairs in my home were leading to one specific spot and that's when I realized that they would work for a lines photo. I asked my mother if she could be the subject of my picture and she agreed and then I took this photo. The Framed BearMy sister owned a human sized teddy bear with a huge sweatshirt and so I stole it and placed it on a chair behind a door with glass panels on it and framed it's head within one of the glass panels. It's head was quite large and I didn't have much space so I guess I was bearly able to frame it. Perspective QuinnI had told Quinn to stand still up above of the stairs and to look forward, he did so and then he took a picture of me downwards since he needed one too. I was looking up showing perspective as a person that was lower than Quinn. Quinn's Camera with SpaceI asked Quinn if he could place his camera on this white table than is next to a white wall and then made sure I had space around the camera and took the picture. The Balance of the TreesI noted that around my home were two sides of trees, the left had pine trees that were still living, and the left had dying oak trees. It seemed like two different sides clashing and stopping at the middle which was this cooler looking tree surrounded by bushes that was balancing the two sides out. The Wall of ColorA wall was painted on by art students in this school and they involved tons of different colors into that wall, so I took a picture of it since it has tons of different colors. What I have LearnedI actually didn't learn anything new, this assignment was mainly review since I took Multi Media in 7th Grade. Though I have forgotten some of the compositions such as Framing or Balance so it was a great review. I also enjoyed taking these photos so I'd say this assignment was fun.
The best thing in the whole entire existence, that we live in, would be sleeping, other than sleeping I enjoy to play video games as a pass time or to take naps while watching something interesting. I work part time at my restaurant owned by my family, it is called Chia Shiang. I took this class because the art of photography had caught my eye and seemed interesting. I took Multimedia in 7th grade so I have a little experience with photography.
